The Llangewydd Schools Fantasy Football league is beginning in 2 weeks.
At the moment, we are handing out team list forms for those who have paid their entry fees (£3.50). We need as many pupils, parents and teachers to get involved to make this the best season ever. A warm welcome back to all pupils and staff. Summer is over and the hard work is beginning. A the end of the Sumer term, we bade a sad farewell to Miss Walker who has left to work in her family business. We also said goodbye to Mrs Rees who has moved schools. We wish both of them well in their new jobs.
On Wednesday 1st July, we all skipped for the British Heart Foundation. All the classes have been working hard over the last few weeks on our skipping routines. We filmed them and had great fun watching each others routines. The whole school then had a mass skip on the yard. Even the teachers got involved! We’re now busy collecting our sponsor money.

Football Success!
Llangewydd Junior A-team win the plate at the Litchard Football Summer Tournament. After a very close pool stage where the A-team were edged out of the cup competitionon goal difference, the Llangewydd team stormed through the plate competition and won. A big well done to all the team players!
On the same day, the girls netball team played extremely well and won third place.
An awesome performance by all involved.
Year 3 and 4 have been looking after catterpillars for the last 2 weeks and they have finally hatched into beautiful painted lady butterflies. We had great fun releasing them into our woodland area. Have a look at the fist pictures of the release.
The time for voucher counting is here. Please send in any remaining vouchers you can find. Search your purses and wallets, look under or in the sofa. The more vouchers we get, the more resources we can get for the school.
Great news! Following the assessment of our school’s ICT capability, we have been awarded the ICT Mark! Well done to all pupils and staff who made this possible.
Congratulations to all who competed in the Inter-school gala at Pyle pool on Monday. All swam well and put in 120% effort. A huge well done to these swimmers who won their heats and so go through to the next round…

The summer sun is finally here and we’re all out enjoying the warm weather.
Year 3 are off to Parkslip nature reserve on Thursday and Year 4 have been searching for minibeasts in the woodland area. They found lots of catterpillars and a few large frogs!
